Reasons for Unanswered Prayer-Part 2

Today, we will carry on in our study of unanswered prayer.

Our Prayers Cannot Violate the Laws of Nature

When God brought this universe into existence, He placed within it certain cause and effect rules. These rules are there for a purpose or plan. When we do “X” then “A” happens.

For example, we cannot jump off a bridge and ask God to keep us from dying. The laws of gravity and matter dictate that we will fall and we will hit hard.

In the same way, we cannot ask God to heal our lung cancer if we are unwilling to stop smoking. When we smoke it leads to cancer. We are asking God to override His natural laws and allow us to continue in destructive lifestyle. There are rules that a mortal being is bound by.

It Is the Appointed Time to Die

We will not get the answer we seek if we are praying for healing at the appointed time to die. The bible clearly states. Ecclesiastes 3:2 there is an appointed time to die

This is a fact we all do not like but it is a fact of life. Eventually, this mortal body must fade away.
